Bollywood Celebrities Gather at Kapoor Residence to Pay Respects to Nirmal Kapoor

Following the passing of Nirmal Kapoor, mother of veteran actor Anil Kapoor, a steady stream of friends, colleagues, and well-wishers visited the Kapoor family residence in Mumbai on Friday evening to offer their condolences. The somber atmosphere at the home was met with quiet solidarity as members of the film fraternity came together to support the grieving family during their time of loss.

 

Anil Kapoor was seen arriving at the house with his mother’s mortal remains, accompanied by his siblings Sanjay Kapoor and Reena Kapoor Marwah. Also present were Boney Kapoor and several members of the younger generation, including Arjun Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor, and Shanaya Kapoor. The scene outside the residence reflected both mourning and unity, as the Kapoor family, known for their enduring presence in Bollywood, received visitors with heartfelt gratitude.

 

The family's close friends and industry peers made their way to the residence throughout the evening. Notable among them were veteran lyricist Javed Akhtar, actors Rani Mukerji, Anupam Kher, Jackie Shroff, and rising star Ananya Panday. Their presence highlighted the deep relationships the Kapoor family has maintained across decades in the film world. Shikhar Pahariya and Veer Pahariya also arrived, showing continued ties between Bollywood’s influential families.

 

The funeral for Nirmal Kapoor is scheduled to take place on Saturday, May 3, at the Vile Parle Crematorium.
