Nodal officers appointed in Gurugram for LS pollsGurugram, Jan 9 (IANS) In order to conduct free, fair and peaceful Lok Sabha polls, the District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Vinay Pratap Singh on Wednesday appointed 19 nodal officers for various election-related activities, an official said.

State government spokesperson R.S. Sangwan said Singh has assigned duties to these 19 nodal officers, who will help in conducting the forthcoming elections.

City Magistrate Manisha Sharma has been appointed Nodal Officer for manpower management and will be assisted by Vibhu Kapoor, a scientist in NIC Gurugram.

 

She will also look after overall law & order for district administration and pass on directions received from the Election Commission of India to the officers concerned .

SE.PWD (B&R) Chander Mohan has been appointed nodal officer for EVM and material management.

Additional Deputy Commissioner R.K Singh, who is also Secretary Regional Transport Authority (RTA), has been appointed nodal officer for transport and training management.

Surender Singh DETC (Sales East) will look after expenditure monitoring of the contesting candidates and Harish Dahiya DETC (Excise east) will take care of election observers appointed by the Election Commission of India.
