Prime Video's Raakh Promises a Dark, Gripping Investigation Thriller Led by Ali Fazal

Prime Video has unveiled the intense first poster for its upcoming original thriller series Raakh with the haunting line: “buried truths always find their way back.” Set to premiere globally on June 12, the series looks ready to dive deep into crime, trauma, and the disturbing realities hidden beneath ordinary lives.

The poster features Ali Fazal as investigating officer Jayprakash Das, standing at a tense crime scene beside a covered body. The chilling visual immediately sets the tone for what appears to be an emotionally heavy and psychologically layered crime thriller. According to the official premise, the story begins with the disappearance of two teenagers in Delhi—an incident that tears apart a close-knit family and sends shockwaves across the city.

As the investigation intensifies, Ali Fazal’s character is pulled into a dark world filled with violence, moral ambiguity, and long-buried secrets. The series promises not just a police procedural, but a deeper exploration of emotional trauma and human depravity. The narrative reportedly unfolds through a nationwide manhunt that slowly exposes uncomfortable truths hiding beneath the surface.

Directed and executive-produced by Prosit Roy, known for his gritty storytelling style in Paatal Lok, Raakh also stars Sonali Bendre, Aamir Bashir, and Dibyendu Bhattacharya in pivotal roles. Created and written by Anusha Nandakumar and Sandeep Saket, the series is produced by Endemol Shine India and aims to blend emotional drama with edge-of-the-seat suspense.

With its moody visuals, emotionally charged storyline, and a cast known for powerful performances, Raakh is shaping up to be one of Prime Video India’s darkest and most compelling thriller releases of the year. If the poster is any indication, this is a story where every secret leaves ashes behind.
