Sonu Sood made powerful and heartfelt remarks while attending the 3rd edition of the Billionaires for Peace Conclave 2026 at Grand Hyatt Mumbai, where the actor spoke about national unity, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal for energy conservation, and India’s growing global recognition.

The actor and philanthropist attended the prestigious gathering alongside his son Ayaan Sood, who was honoured at the event for his social contributions. During a media interaction, Sonu Sood was asked about the ongoing energy crisis and the Prime Minister’s appeal regarding responsible energy usage. Responding emotionally, Sonu said:

“I definitely feel that it is the responsibility of every single individual to work towards building a stronger nation. Whenever difficulties arise—even within a family—all the members come together to overcome those hardships. Our country, too, is essentially one large family; therefore, if an appeal is made to us, I believe we must unite to support our nation so that we can emerge from this crisis as quickly as possible.”

His statement quickly resonated with many online, with social media users praising the actor for highlighting unity and collective responsibility during difficult times.

Speaking further about the conclave, Sonu Sood described the platform as inspiring and meaningful due to the presence of humanitarian voices and global achievers. He said:

“Well, I think it is a truly remarkable platform—one where, I would say, you find the most extraordinary people, not just from our country, but from across the globe. You have Nobel Prize winners and high achievers present here. And coming to this platform today gives me a truly wonderful feeling—knowing that it is filled with like-minded individuals who are dedicated to serving society. It is also a special day because my son, Ayaan, has been honored for the excellent work he does.”

One of the major talking points from the interaction came when Sonu Sood was asked about Prime Minister Narendra Modi receiving the prestigious Agricola Medal during his recent United Nations visit — the highest honour awarded in the field of agriculture. Congratulating the Prime Minister, Sonu said:

“Well, I think we are extremely proud of him. He has truly brought pride to India on every global platform he has graced. So, I simply want to congratulate him on this achievement—we are proud of you, Sir.”

The Billionaires for Peace Conclave 2026 brought together global leaders, Nobel Laureates, business figures, spiritual voices, and cultural icons for conversations centered around peace, humanity, and sustainable development. Nobel Peace Prize winners including Kailash Satyarthi, Mohan Munasinghe, Houcine Abassi, and Grigori Perelman attended the event, alongside former President of India Ram Nath Kovind and Maharashtra Governor Jishnu Dev Varma.

Sonu Sood’s comments added a patriotic and emotional tone to the conclave, reinforcing the importance of unity, compassion, and shared responsibility during challenging global times.
