From Mismatched to Life Hill Gayi: Aditi Govitrikar’s Journey of Diverse Characters

Aditi Govitrikar has had a remarkable journey in the entertainment industry, one that has been full of twists, turns, and learning experiences. In a candid conversation, she shared her thoughts on her career,  and the importance of self-discovery. 

 

"When I won Gladrags, offers started coming in, but I didn’t have the confidence in myself at that time. I had heard a lot of negative things about the industry, that it was a big bad world. People warned me not to get into it, so I stayed back. But then, I started working in front of the camera for music videos and ads. I felt that the experience of acting in films would be the same, so I decided to give it a try."

 

Aditi’s love for acting is undeniable. "I will never give up acting. I love being in front of the camera. I love playing different roles and exploring different characters. Recently, Mismatched 3 was released on Netflix, and there's also a series on Hotstar called Life Hill Gayi with Vinay Pathak, Kusha Kapila, and Divyendu. I also recently shot a new vertical format series called Teri Meri Love Story."

 

Despite her vast success in India, Aditi never thought about moving to Hollywood. "I never thought of going to Hollywood. There was so much happening here in India that I never felt the need to look beyond it. I was busy with my work and exploring different roles here."

 

Looking back at her personal journey, Aditi shares how she started feeling the need to do something for her mind. "About ten years ago, I started feeling like I wasn’t doing enough for my brain. I was at a crossroads in my life, unsure of where to go next. People around me suggested I study skincare or psychology. While I knew a lot about the human body, I decided to dive deeper into studying the human mind instead."

 

She explains how she found peace by delving into psychology and self-awareness. "It helped me understand myself better and deal with the stresses of life. Understanding the mind and how it works has allowed me to handle stress in a more constructive way."
