Shimla, July 7 (SocialNews.XYZ) Himachal Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Rajeev Bindal on Tuesday said the party would prepare a comprehensive charge sheet highlighting the state Congress government's performance in the past three-and-a-half years.
The document will focus on the government's unfulfilled promises, anti-people policies, administrative failures, and the overall state of governance. It will be taken to every village and town across the state as part of a mass public outreach campaign.
Bindal said that before the Assembly elections, the Congress made several promises and guarantees to the women, youth, farmers, orchardists, government employees, unemployed youth, and various other sections of society. However, after assuming office, the government failed to fulfil most of these commitments.
He said the people in the state are now demanding accountability, and the BJP will strongly raise these concerns.
He said the chargesheet will comprehensively cover issues such as the unfulfilled financial assistance promised to women, employment commitments made to youth, assurances given to farmers and orchardists, commitments to government employees, the state's deteriorating financial condition, law and order, corruption, the slowdown in development works, and the increasing financial burden on the people.
Bindal said instead of working in the interest of the people, the government led by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Sukhu has imposed additional taxes, fees, and financial burdens on people.
He said several development projects have suffered, uncertainty has prevailed over many public institutions, and people have not received the services and benefits they were promised.
The BJP, he said, will place these facts before the public with supporting evidence.
He further said the party would launch a statewide mass outreach campaign, during which party workers will visit people across Himachal Pradesh to expose the gap between the Congress government's promises and its actual performance.
He emphasised that the chargesheet would not merely be a political document but a factual account of the government's unfulfilled commitments to the people.
Bindal said the BJP would continue to act as the voice of the people, demand accountability from the government for every unfulfilled promise, and conduct a democratic public awareness campaign across the state to present the true picture of the government's performance.
