Itanagar, June 25 (SocialNews.XYZ) Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt Gen K.T. Participating in the Special Intensive Revision process, the Governor, along with the First Lady of the state, Anagha Parnaik, filled out their Enumeration Forms at Lok Bhavan in Itanagar on Thursday.
The enumeration exercise was conducted by Papum Pare Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer (DEO), Yupia, Lobsang Tsering, along with the Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) of the 13-Itanagar (ST) Assembly Constituency, Dani Rikang, under the directions of the Election Commission of India (ECI).
By personally taking part in the exercise, Lt Gen Parnaik underscored the importance of every eligible citizen actively participating in the democratic process and of ensuring that electoral records remain accurate, up to date, and inclusive.
He said public participation is indispensable to the success of the revision exercise and reiterated that every citizen has a duty to contribute to strengthening the country's democratic framework.
He observed that electoral rolls are not merely administrative records but form the very foundation of free, fair and transparent elections, which are the cornerstone of a vibrant democracy.
Appealing to the people of Arunachal Pradesh, the Governor urged all eligible citizens to actively participate in the Special Intensive Revision programme, which commenced across the state on June 15 and will continue till July 14, 2026.

The Governor also called upon residents to fully cooperate with Booth Level Officers (BLOs) during their house-to-house visits and to promptly provide the required information and supporting documents for the revision process.
He made a special appeal to young voters and first-time electors to come forward, verify their details, and ensure that their names are correctly included in the electoral roll so that their voices are duly represented in the democratic process.
He noted that citizen involvement would help maintain the integrity and accuracy of electoral records, thereby reinforcing public confidence in the electoral system.
Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer, Yupia, Lobsang Tsering, informed that the draft electoral roll would be published on July 21, 2026, upon completion of the revision process.
