If Someone Says They Don't Like Money They Are Either a Saint or Very Rich Says Akshay Kumar on Wealth Fame and Health

Akshay Kumar recently attended a promotional event in Mumbai along with the entire ensemble cast of Welcome To The Jungle, where he spoke candidly about fame, money, and what truly matters in life. Known for his grounded and practical views, the actor gave a thoughtful response that immediately struck a chord with audiences.

When asked whether money holds the same importance in his life today as it did earlier—or whether fame has taken precedence—Akshay gave a long, reflective answer rooted in experience and observation. He said, “Look, if someone says they don't like money, they are likely either a saint or someone who already possesses a vast amount of wealth—which is precisely why they can afford to say they don't care for it. Those are the only two reasons someone would say that. However, I have witnessed many cases—among my friends, and I am sure you have seen this too—where people earned money, lost it all, and then worked hard to earn it back.”

“Many lost their businesses but managed to reclaim them somehow. Yet, it is rare to see someone regain their health once it is lost. So, I would say health is more important than money. Even Anna (Suniel Shetty) would agree with this: health is paramount; nothing is more important than health. My only prayer to God is that He grants us all good health first; the money will naturally follow” added Akshay.

His statement quickly became a highlight of the event, not just because of the honesty in his words but also because of how he shifted the focus from wealth and fame to health and well-being. In an industry often associated with glamour and material success, Akshay’s perspective stood out as refreshingly grounded.

The event itself was held to promote Welcome To The Jungle, an upcoming action adventure comedy directed by Ahmed Khan and written by Neeraj Vora. Produced by Firoz Nadiadwala, Rakesh Dang, and Vedant Vikaas Baali under Base Industries Group, Cape of Good Films, and Seeta Films, the movie continues the legacy of the popular Welcome franchise.

The ensemble cast includes Suniel Shetty, Jacqueline Fernandez, Disha Patani, Raveena Tandon, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Aftab Shivdasani, Jackie Shroff, and Paresh Rawal, making it one of the most star-packed comedy franchises in recent years.

Scheduled for release on 26 June 2026, the film has already generated strong buzz, with Akshay’s heartfelt remarks adding a deeper human angle to the promotional campaign.
