Rajasthan Minister seeks FIR against Dotasra over alleged fake OBC certificates

Jaipur, June 23 (SocialNews.XYZ) Rajasthan Minister Kirodi Lal Meena has written to Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, alleging that Rajasthan Congress President Govind Singh Dotasra and his relative, Rameshchand Punia, obtained OBC certificates fraudulently and subsequently availed reservation benefits. Meena has demanded the registration of an FIR and a thorough investigation into the matter.

In his letter, Meena alleged that Dotasra’s son, Avinash, who was selected in the RAS-2016 examination, benefited from irregularities in the selection process.

He claimed that questions had been raised over the interview marking process and alleged that certain candidates received disproportionately high interview scores despite concerns regarding merit.

Meena further alleged that Rameshchand Punia and members of his family secured OBC reservation benefits on the basis of forged documents. According to the minister, Punia’s children were also selected in state services after availing reservation benefits under the disputed certificates.

The minister claimed that former members of the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) had acknowledged the existence of external pressure in recruitment processes.

He stated that he is prepared to provide evidence to investigating agencies if required.

Citing the example of a candidate from the RAS-2016 examination, Meena alleged that Garima Jindal, who reportedly secured the highest score of 425 marks in the written examination, was awarded only 25 marks in the interview.

In contrast, he claimed that Avinash Dotasra received 85 marks in the interview, which contributed to his final selection.

Meena alleged that, despite having a higher aggregate merit, Jindal failed to make the final selection list due to a low interview score.

Describing the matter as affecting the rights of deserving candidates, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds, Meena called for an impartial, high-level investigation.

He urged the Chief Minister to take prompt action to ensure transparency and accountability in recruitment processes and to prevent similar irregularities in the future.

The allegations have triggered fresh political controversy in Rajasthan. There has been no official response from Govind Singh Dotasra or the state government on the allegations so far.
