Lucknow, June 15 (SocialNews.XYZ) Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said nine years ago, the condition of Uttar Pradesh was such that in the state capital itself, land belonging to the police was under the encroachment of a notorious mafia figure. Protected by the then government, the mafia had become so powerful that the police did not dare to reclaim their own land.
He added that upon seeing the bulldozer action of the double‑engine government, the mafia surrendered the land. Today, a grand State Forensic Institute building stands on that very land.
The three‑day Digital Democracy Dialogue ‘Triveni’ held in Lucknow became a national platform for discussions on Uttar Pradesh’s development journey, good governance and cultural renaissance.
Addressing the concluding session on Monday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath interacted with content creators. He shared his views in detail on issues related to the media, law and order, forensic infrastructure, the Defence Corridor, tourism, medical education, and cultural heritage.
He said the State Forensic Institute, established in Lucknow, is not only a centre for FSL and cyber security but has also become a major institution offering certificate, diploma, and degree courses related to modern technologies.
Recalling the incident from nine years ago, he said the land belonged to the Uttar Pradesh Police but was occupied by a notorious mafia figure from Lucknow. In 2017, when the need to expand forensic facilities was felt, action was initiated to free the land. Following bulldozer action, the mafia voluntarily handed over the land to the government, and today students are receiving training at the same location.
He further said that under the new criminal laws, forensic evidence is mandatory in cases involving a punishment of more than seven years, and mobile forensic vans have already been deployed in every district of Uttar Pradesh.
The Chief Minister informed that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BrahMos missiles are being manufactured in Lucknow. For this purpose, the Uttar Pradesh Government provided nearly 200 acres of land free of cost. He remarked that the day the first BrahMos missile rolled out, it was used against Pakistan on the third day, adding, “What is the value of land when compared to national security?”
He further added that although the land was provided free of cost, when approximately 150 BrahMos missiles are manufactured annually, Uttar Pradesh will receive nearly Rs 135 crore in GST revenue each year. Under the Uttar Pradesh Defence Manufacturing Corridor, new opportunities in defence production have emerged in Lucknow, Kanpur, Agra, Aligarh, Jhansi and Chitrakoot. While investments of Rs 20,000 crore to Rs 25,000 crore were initially expected, investment proposals worth Rs 35,000 crore have already been received.
The Chief Minister stated that over the past nine years, Uttar Pradesh has emerged from an identity crisis and become one of the country’s leading economies. He said 60 per cent of the country’s expressways are located in Uttar Pradesh. A road network of four lakh kilometres has been developed. All district headquarters are connected via four‑lane connectivity. The number of medical colleges has increased from 41 to 83, and efforts are underway to establish one in every district.
He said Uttar Pradesh’s new identity is now being shaped through One District‑One Product, One District‑One Cuisine and One District‑One Medical College. Referring to the assistance provided by villagers from Chitrakoot to devotees from Tamil Nadu during the Mahakumbh, he added that this reflects the true spirit of ‘Ek Bharat‑Shreshtha Bharat’.
CM Yogi informed that, under the guidance of PM Modi, Uttar Pradesh has completed a long journey over the last 9 years. It has emerged from an identity crisis and risen above the BIMARU state category to become a breakthrough force in India’s economy, demonstrating its strength across every sector.
He added that Uttar Pradesh is no longer counted among the country’s backward states. Instead, it is now among the Top‑3 economies in India. In every welfare scheme, Uttar Pradesh’s name appears among the leading states.
Speaking about the role of the media in the current scenario, the Chief Minister stated that it is inappropriate to treat only negative developments as news. Presenting news as news is the media's responsibility, and personal opinions should not be mixed in.
He added that views should not be mixed with news. There is a separate space for views where individuals can express their opinions. Addressing the content creators present at the event, he said they are not merely content creators but can also contribute significantly to society as opinion makers. They can give society the courage to align public opinion with the truth.
Chief Minister said walking on the path of truth is a great challenge in itself, but ultimately ‘Satyamev Jayate’, meaning truth alone triumphs. If every individual in society becomes conscious of their responsibilities, positive outcomes will certainly follow.
