Set in 1821 Los Angeles, the story follows Diego as he unexpectedly becomes mayor after his father’s death, only to discover a city drowning in corruption, debt, and political unrest. Unable to fight injustice through politics alone, Diego secretly revives his long-abandoned identity as Zorro for the first time in 20 years. As the masked hero gains popularity among citizens, Diego struggles to balance his public duties with his dangerous double life.
The series also stars Audrey Dana, André Dussollier, Eric Elmosnino, and Salvatore Ficarra as Bernardo. Alongside the action, the show leans heavily into romance and humor, especially as Diego’s wife Gabriella becomes fascinated by Zorro without realizing he is actually her husband. The emotional confusion, jealousy, and secrecy add a fun twist to the classic hero story.
Created by Benjamin Charbit and directed by Jean-Baptiste Saurel and Emilie Noblet, Zorro looks set to deliver a stylish mix of adventure, satire, and heartfelt drama.
