Set in a gritty 1930s New York City, Spider-Noir follows an older, battle-worn version of Spider-Man played by Nicolas Cage. The actor stars as Ben Reilly, a private investigator haunted by his past life as the city’s lone masked hero. Fans of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse will instantly recognize the noir version of Spidey, which first became a fan-favourite through the animated multiverse film. This live-action adaptation takes the concept deeper, blending superhero action with detective drama and old-Hollywood mystery.
The series draws inspiration from the 2009 Marvel comic Spider-Man Noir created by David Hine, Fabrice Sapolsky, Carmine Di Giandomenico, and Marko Djurdjević. The show has been developed by Oren Uziel alongside powerhouse creators Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, Amy Pascal, and Steve Lightfoot.
