Rajesh Sharma Praises Priyadarshan's Mastery Of Film Language Ahead Of Bhooth Bangla Release

Actor Rajesh Sharma, known for his frequent collaborations with Akshay Kumar, recently lauded filmmaker Priyadarshan for his deep understanding of film language. Speaking at the trailer launch of Bhooth Bangla, Sharma reflected on his experience working with the director, emphasizing how Priyadarshan’s approach can teach actors to truly understand the language of cinema.

Sharma said, “Talking about the experience of working with Priyadarshan, when I offered the film, I said yes immediately, and working with him I felt like, film has a language, film language is different, and I feel any actor who hasn’t worked with Priyadarshan so far, that actor hasn’t learned the film language yet, this is something I have learned from him.” His statement underscores the respect Priyadarshan commands among actors and highlights the director’s ability to elevate performances through his nuanced understanding of cinematic storytelling.

Bhooth Bangla, directed by Priyadarshan, stars Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Tabu, Wamiqa Gabbi, Mithila Palkar, and late actor Asrani in prominent roles. The makers recently unveiled the official trailer, offering fans a glimpse of the highly anticipated reunion between Priyadarshan and Akshay Kumar.

The three-minute trailer introduces the demon Vadhusur, who has grown powerful over a thousand years, and sets the stage for a haunted bungalow where Akshay’s character eyes a property he wants to sell. As housemates experience paranormal activity, Paresh Rawal warns Akshay about the property’s haunted nature. The interactions between Akshay, Paresh, Rajpal Yadav, and Asrani promise the signature slapstick comedy reminiscent of Priyadarshan’s earlier hits like Bhool Bhulaiyaa and Phir Hera Pheri.

Tabu’s presence adds a layer of intrigue, blending humor with suspense, while the rest of the ensemble contributes to a lively, entertaining narrative. Balaji Motion Pictures shared the trailer on Instagram with the caption, “Welcome to Bhooth Bangla. Yahan na toh log normal hain... Aur upar se Bangla bhi paranormal hai. Enter at your own risk.” The film is set to release in theaters on April 16, 2026, promising a mix of comedy, horror, and nostalgia for audiences.
