Janus Films has unveiled the official trailer for Peter Hujar’s Day, a quietly mesmerizing new film from celebrated indie director Ira Sachs, set for release on November 7th, 2025. The film stars Ben Whishaw as the iconic photographer Peter Hujar, and Rebecca Hall as writer Linda Rosenkrantz, in what promises to be a richly introspective cinematic experience.

 

Adapted from Rosenkrantz’s book of the same name, the film is a fictional recreation of a real 1974 conversation between Hujar and Rosenkrantz, in which the artist recounts a single day in his life.
