Mahesh Bhatt and Pooja Bhatt Grace Sarthak’s 17th Foundation Day And West Zone Regional Abilympics in Mumbai

Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt and actress Pooja Bhatt brought star power and heartfelt support to a meaningful cause as they attended the West Zone Regional Abilympics and Sarthak Educational Trust’s 17th Foundation Day in Mumbai. The father-daughter duo was seen interacting warmly with participants and applauding the incredible talent and determination of individuals with disabilities. Their presence added a special touch to a day focused on ability, empowerment, and inclusion.

 

Founded in July 2008 by Dr. Jitender Aggarwal and Dr. Suman Aggarwal, Sarthak Educational Trust has steadily grown into one of India’s most impactful organizations dedicated to empowering people with disabilities. Driven by the mission of helping Divyangjans (persons with disabilities) become masters of their own destinies, Sarthak is creating real, sustainable change by building inclusive communities and offering opportunities that foster independence and dignity.

 

With a workforce that includes people with disabilities, Sarthak brings deep understanding to its programs and initiatives. From skill development and vocational training to advocacy and employment support, the NGO has successfully enabled thousands of individuals to break barriers and realize their potential. Events like the Abilympics showcase the talents of these individuals across diverse fields, from arts and crafts to IT and technology—challenging stereotypes and redefining what inclusion really means.

 

The Bhatts' presence not only underlined their longstanding support for social causes but also highlighted the need for more public attention toward inclusive development.
