​Rohit Shetty Hails Narendra Modi For Praising Ghulam Nabi Azad

Filmmaker Rohit Shetty hailed Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for praising the leader of opposition Shri Ghulam Nazi Azad, whose term in the house ended.

 

The Prime Minister had turned emotional several times in Rajya Sabha while recalling his close association with Congress leader Azad, whose term in the House ended.

Moved the gesture of Indian Prime Minister, filmmaker Rohit Shetty took to his social media and shared a series of video, where PM is getting teary eyed. He captioned his post, “At a time of such unrest in our country, I felt like sharing this honest, heartfelt and positive video in which our honorable prime minister Shri Narendra Modi (BJP) is praising Ex CM of the state of Jammu and Kashmir Shri Ghulam Nabi Azad (Congress) on his unparalleled contribution towards the nation during his years of service”  

“This indeed is a true example that humanity is over and above any political or religious labels. PS: Naa mujhe BJP ne ye post karne ko kaha, na Congress ne. Just felt like sharing it as an Indian”

Meanwhile on the work front, Rohit Shetty directorial Sooryavanshi, starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif, is complete and ready for release. Due to pandemic the film has been shifted many times, the makers will confirm the release date soon.

Rohit is currently shooting for Cirkus, starring Ranveer Singh in a double role for the first time in his career, with Jacqueline Fernandez and Pooja Hegde as female leads.

The film co-stars Varun Sharma, Siddhartha Jadhav, Johnny Lever, Sanjay Mishra, Vrajesh Hirjee, Vijay Patkar, Sulbha Arya, Mukesh Tiwari, Anil Charanjeett, Ashwini Kalsekar and Murli Sharma in supporting roles. It is the official adaptation of the 1982 movie Angoor which was a remake of the 1968 film Do Dooni Char which was a remake of 1963 Bengali language comedy film Bhrantibilas, that was based on Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar's Bengali play by the same name, which itself is based on William Shakespeare's play The Comedy of Errors.
