Chennai, Oct 11 (SocialNews.XYZ) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday urged students to dream big, think differently and pursue their ideas fearlessly, saying young Indians would play a decisive role in building a developed and self-reliant nation by 2047.
Addressing the golden jubilee celebrations of Jaigopal Garodia Hindu Vidyalaya in Chennai, PM Modi said India’s ambitions extended from becoming one of the world’s three largest economies to emerging as a global manufacturing hub, hosting the Olympics and landing an Indian on the Moon.
Repeatedly declaring, “We will do it,” the Prime Minister expressed confidence that collective effort would turn these aspirations into reality. He linked Tamil Nadu’s development with the broader national goal, calling for people to work together towards a developed State and country.
PM Modi said the ideas and solutions needed to build a developed India could also influence the world’s future. At a time when countries were searching for answers to challenges, India’s young people possessed the ability to provide them, he told the gathering.
Emphasising the opportunities available across the country, he encouraged students to take a broader view of their future and recognise the possibilities before them. “This is your time. This is your opportunity,” he said, expressing confidence that the nation’s shared aspirations would be achieved through cooperation and determination.
Turning to sports, PM Modi said India was working towards hosting the 2030 Commonwealth Games and pursuing its ambition to stage the 2036 Olympic Games. He presented these efforts as part of the country’s wider aspirations to host major international sporting events in the coming years.
The Prime Minister also highlighted the expansion of higher education. He said the number of universities had increased from 750 in 2014 to more than 1,300, while colleges had grown from 38,000 to over 52,000. Describing the Tirukkural as a valuable guide for those committed to learning throughout life, PM Modi encouraged students to remain curious and receptive to new knowledge.
Referring to his association with Kashi, the parliamentary constituency he represents, the Prime Minister invoked poet Subramania Bharati’s message of fearlessness. He urged the students to give themselves the freedom to act boldly, translate their ideas into action and approach their ambitions with confidence.
His closing appeal was direct: dream big, think differently and remain fearless while helping shape India’s future through learning, innovation and purposeful action.
