Bhopal, Sep 29 (SocialNews.XYZ) Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah will visit Bhopal on October 3 to address a state-level conference of cattle rearers and launch and lay the foundation stone for several development projects, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said on Tuesday.
In a statement, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said that Amit Shah will visit Bhopal on October 3 and announce several initiatives and projects for the state.
In this regard, the Chief Minister reviewed preparations for the programme with the Chief Secretary and senior officials and directed the concerned departments to ensure adequate arrangements for seating, drinking water, sanitation and other facilities for guests and citizens.
The state-level Gopalak Sammelan will be held at the BHEL Dussehra Ground, where Amit Shah will inaugurate and visit an exhibition on the new criminal laws before addressing the gathering.
On the occasion, Shah will also lay the foundation stone for the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) campus near Bhauri on the Bhopal Bypass and unveil a statue of Swami Vivekananda installed on the campus.
Several dairy and infrastructure projects will also be taken up during the visit, including a Rs 255-crore dairy plant in Ujjain and a fermented milk products plant in Bhopal.
Yadav said the Bhoomi Pujan for the Bhopal Western Bypass will also be held.
The Union minister will distribute bonuses to cattle rearers associated with the Bhopal and Indore milk unions and provide financial assistance to gaushalas.
Gopalak Didis will be honoured and sanction letters under the Bhimrao Ambedkar Kamdhenu Yojana will also be distributed.
Yadav said that more than 35,000 cattle rearers and members of dairy cooperative societies from districts across the state are expected to participate in the Gopalak Sammelan.
Participants are expected from Bhopal, Sehore, Betul, Rajgarh, Harda, Guna, Ashoknagar, Shajapur, Vidisha, Raisen and Narmadapuram.
Shah will also be briefed on activities undertaken during the Farmer Welfare Year and the Balram Krishi Mahotsav.
Presentations on the work of the Home Department, Animal Husbandry and Dairy Department, Cooperation Department, Public Works Department and Transport Department will also be made.
The visit comes amid heightened political activity in Madhya Pradesh, with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government highlighting its development and welfare initiatives and the Congress raising issues related to governance and public services.
On the other hand, Leader of the Opposition (LoP) in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, is scheduled to visit Madhya Pradesh's Balaghat district on October 1 to meet the families of tribal children who died during a health crisis in the district.
