BJP's UP in-charge Vinod Tawde begins week-long visit to Awadh, Purvanchal

Lucknow, Sep 17 (SocialNews.XYZ) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)'s National General Secretary Vinod Tawde, Election In-charge for Uttar Pradesh, on Thursday began his week-long multi-district visit to the Awadh and Purvanchal regions to step up preparations for the 2027 Assembly elections.

This is Tawde's third visit to Uttar Pradesh since being named as election in-charge for the state on August 18.

His latest visit will focus on seeking feedback on performance of legislators and assessing potential party candidate, a party leader said.

Tawde also met Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath earlier and on social media platform X said: "UP ki raftaar rahegi barkaraar; teesri baar banegi NDA sarkaar (Uttar Pradesh will sustain its speed and vote the NDA government to power for the third consecutive time)."

The State BJP In-charge's interactions in Gorakhpur on Thursday and Friday are slated to involve discussions with booth level workers and a review of the booths that the party lost in the Parliamentary polls in 2024, Tawde said.

The BJP National General Secretary began the district level ground work a day after a coordination meeting was held in Lucknow on Wednesday.

Party sources said that Tawde's focus will be on the entire Awadh and Purvanchal regions of the state where he will hold meetings with party workers from the regional to the district level.

He will review the party's election preparations and formulate future strategies based on this feedback, a BJP leader said.

Tawde is scheduled to reach the Awadh region on September 19.

His meetings with party workers in the regions will be held till September 20, the BJP leader added.

On September 21 and 22, Tawde will chair meetings in Prayagraj to chalk out the strategy for the Kashi region of the state.

Earlier, Tawde hit out at Samajwadi Party (SP) Chief Akhilesh Yadav, saying that the Opposition party's 'PDA' slogan, in reality, stands for 'Paraya Dhan Apna' (appropriating others' wealth as one's own).

Addressing reporters, Tawde said: "We will beat the slogans of SP-PDA. 'PDA' and 'SP' mean 'Paraya Dhan Apna'. The NDA will never let this happen."

"Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the BJP has become the world's largest political party, while Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is accelerating the pace of development in Uttar Pradesh. Under the guidance of the party's Uttar Pradesh Chief Pankaj Chaudhary, NDA workers in the state would contest the upcoming state Assembly elections with full vigour and secure victory," he asserted.
