Apple TV has unveiled the first look at its upcoming heist drama 12 12 12, bringing together Anthony Mackie and Jamie Dornan for a high-stakes game of cat and mouse across Europe. The eight-episode original series promises elaborate planning, dangerous twists and an ambitious robbery that takes audiences deep beneath the streets of Zurich.

12 12 12 is scheduled to premiere globally on Friday, November 13, 2026, with the first two episodes dropping together. The series will then move to a weekly release schedule, with one new episode arriving every Friday through December 25.

The title of the series gives away its unusual storytelling structure. Each episode explores three different timelines surrounding the same heist — the 12 months spent planning it, the 12 hours during which it unfolds and the 12 days that follow. The format allows the story to move between preparation, execution and aftermath, potentially revealing new pieces of the puzzle as the narrative progresses.

At the heart of the series are two men on opposite sides of the law. Mackie plays a disgraced FBI agent, while Dornan takes on the role of an American career criminal. Their paths collide in what is described as a zero-sum game of cat and mouse stretching across Europe.

The biggest target is an audacious bank robbery in Zurich. The heist centres on a bank vault located deep beneath the city, setting the stage for a potentially explosive showdown between law enforcement and criminals. With so much depending on the operation, even the smallest mistake could have major consequences. For Mackie, the series is also a major creative undertaking beyond his role in front of the camera. The Emmy Award nominee stars in the show and serves as an executive producer, adding another dimension to his involvement in the Apple TV project.

Dornan similarly takes on multiple responsibilities, starring in the series while also serving as an executive producer. Known for taking on dramatically varied roles, the actor now steps into the world of organised crime and elaborate heists as a character whose experience on the wrong side of the law makes him a formidable opponent.

The supporting ensemble features Jack Kesy, Agathe Rousselle, Sallie Harmsen, José Garcia and Kali Reis, among others. The diverse cast adds further international flavour to a story that moves through the European setting. The creative team behind 12 12 12 includes creators and executive producers Dudi Appleton and Jim Keeble. Emmy Award-nominated and BAFTA Award-winning filmmaker Kari Skogland directs multiple episodes, including the pilot, while also serving as an executive producer.

The production team brings together Paramount Television Studios and Anonymous Content. Mackie is also executive producing through his Make It With Gravy production banner, alongside Samantha Corbin-Miller, David Knoller and Jason Spire for Inspire Entertainment.
