Patna, June 23 (SocialNews.XYZ) A major political development has emerged within the Janshakti Janata Dal (JJD) after party chief Tej Pratap Yadav expelled his personal assistant and the party’s National General Secretary, Motilal Yadav, from the organisation on Tuesday.
On his social media account, Tej Pratap Yadav announced that Motilal Yadav had been removed from all party posts and responsibilities with immediate effect.
Along with the expulsion, Tej Pratap Yadav announced the immediate dissolution of both the national and state organisational units of the party, stating that a new team would be constituted in the near future.
Earlier, Tej Pratap Yadav had lodged a complaint at the Secretariat Police Station in Patna, alleging that Motilal Yadav stole cash, jewellery, electronic devices, and important documents from his official residence at 42 Harding Road.
According to the complaint, the alleged theft occurred on the night of June 22.
The FIR mentions the disappearance of several valuable items, including approximately Rs 20 lakh in cash, allegedly kept as party funds, a gold chain weighing around two tolas, a gold ring, four drones, two hard disks, an iPad, a MacBook laptop, a Lenovo laptop, and four iPhone 17 Pro Max mobile phones.
The total value of the missing items is estimated to be several lakhs of rupees.
According to the complaint, Tej Pratap Yadav stated that his driver and another associate allegedly saw Motilal Yadav leaving the residence carrying a bag on the night of the incident.
Subsequently, when household belongings were checked, the cash and other valuables were reportedly found missing.
Following the complaint, police personnel from the Secretariat Police Station visited the residence and initiated an investigation.
Police officials have begun examining the allegations and collecting evidence related to the case.
The investigation is expected to include verifying the missing items, examining statements from witnesses and staff members, reviewing available surveillance footage, and assessing the circumstances surrounding the alleged theft.
At present, the allegations contained in the complaint are under investigation, and further legal action will depend on the findings of the police inquiry.
The incident has generated considerable political attention because of the high-profile nature of the complaint and the organisational changes announced by Tej Pratap Yadav following the alleged theft.
