Haryana govt ‘selling jobs’, claims Bhupinder Hooda

Rohtak, June 22 (SocialNews.XYZ) Former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Hooda on Monday alleged that the state Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government “is selling jobs just like merchandise in a grocery store”.

He claimed that a viral call recording involving the BJP President in Kurukshetra revealed that the government was openly selling everything, from contractual jobs under the ‘Kaushal Nigam’ (skill corporation) to permanent recruitment positions.

“The Congress has raised this issue both on the streets and in the legislative assembly, formally presenting all facts and evidence to the government. However, the government, engrossed in selling Haryana’s jobs, is intoxicated by the arrogance of power,” Hooda said.

He added that the NEET exam was re-conducted, yet it too faced scrutiny after two doctors were arrested in Rohtak on charges of orchestrating a paper leak.

Hooda alleged that irregularities consistently plague the Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) and Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) recruitment processes.

The Leader of Opposition further criticised the government for failing to provide compensation to shopkeepers affected by the recent arson incident in Rohtak. “This is extremely unfortunate. To make matters worse, the shopkeepers have also been barred from undertaking new construction,” he said.

He added that people in the state have lost faith in law and order. “Incidents ranging from the firing at the Congress state President’s premises to the attack on MLA Balram Dangi’s office clearly demonstrate that law and order in the state has completely collapsed. Today, everyone, from traders, businessmen, and politicians to doctors, is falling victim to threats, extortion, and shootings,” Hooda said.

Quoting the Central government’s Social Progress Index, he said Haryana ranked as the most unsafe state with a score of 33 points.

He added that the India Justice Report indicated that the Haryana Police’s ranking had slipped from eighth to 14th place in the past five years.

In the Happiness Index, Haryana stood at the 16th position nationwide. According to a report by the Union Ministry of Rural Development, the state ranked 11th in terms of performance.
