The series follows lifelong best friends Debbie Claybourne (Octavia Spencer) and Judith Burton (Hannah Waddingham), whose seemingly ordinary friendship is turned upside down when Debbie discovers that Judith has been hiding a shocking secret — she’s an international assassin. When a dangerous mission goes disastrously wrong and a mysterious figure from Judith’s past resurfaces, the duo are forced to flee together while trying to stay one step ahead of their enemies.
Blending action, comedy, and friendship, Ride or Die sends Debbie and Judith on a chaotic road trip across Europe. Along the way, they are pursued by law enforcement, elite assassins, and ruthless criminals, all while navigating the secrets and lies that have defined their friendship. The supporting cast includes Bill Nighy, Ed Skrein, Sylvia Hoeks, Calam Lynch, Savannah Steyn, and Jamie Parker. The series was created by actress and writer Tessa Coates, who also serves as a writer alongside Matthew Miller, Katherine Kearns, Alison Barton, Bonnie Dennison, Liz Friedman, and Laura Jacqmin.
