Cannes Film Festival 2026: Top moments from day 9 (Video)

Ira Sachs, Rami Malek and Tom Sturridge and Luther Ford have premiered their musical drama "The Man I Love" at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival. The movie is in competition for the Palme dOr, the festivals top prize. Rebecca Hall and Ebon Moss-Bachrach also co-star.

Earlier Wednesday, Andy Garcia was moved to tears at a press conference as he discussed his passion project Diamond. The film features an ensemble cast including Vicky Krieps, Rosemarie DeWitt, Danny Huston, Brendan Fraser, Dustin Hoffman and Bill Murray.

Demi Moore and her fellow jury members have made their mark on Cannes, joining jury president Park Chan-wook at the handprint ceremony of the 79th edition of the festival. Park Chan-wook led his jury through the ceremony at Place de la Castre, pressing his hands into blocks of clay alongside Moore, Stellan Skarsgrd, Chlo Zhao Ruth Negga, Isaach De Bankol, Laura Wandel, Diego Cspede and Paul Laverty.

Their prints will be sealed into Cannes' "Chemin des toiles," at the foot of the Palais des festivals, alongside those left by stars including Catherine Deneuve, Sylvester Stallone, Jodie Foster, Spike Lee and Julie Andrews.

Kevin Spacey, Bella Hadid, Laura Dern, Bruce Dern, and Heidi Klum were among the stars who walked the Cannes red carpet for the premiere of director Antonin Baudrys The Age of Iron.

The film, the first installment in his two-part historical saga The Battle of Gaulle, is adapted from Julian Jacksons nonfiction book A Certain Idea of France: The Life of Charles de Gaulle.

It stars Simon Abkarian as the French military leader and traces his rise as a central figure in the French Resistance during World War II. The cast also includes Niels Schneider, Thierry Lhermitte, Benot Magimel, Anamaria Vartolomei, and Simon Russell Beale.
