JD(U) supporters put up posters urging Nitish Kumar not to leave Bihar

Patna, April 10 (SocialNews.XYZ) Amid strong indications that Nitish Kumar is set to transition to national politics by taking oath as a Rajya Sabha member, supporters of the Janata Dal (United) (JD-U) have launched an emotional appeal urging him not to leave Bihar. A poster campaign led by JD(U) worker Krishna Patel has surfaced across party offices and various locations in Patna.

The poster features images of Nitish Kumar, his son Nishant Kumar, and JD(U) state President Umesh Kushwaha.

The message on the poster reads as a heartfelt plea: “Do not abandon Bihar; do not leave us—the people of Bihar—orphaned.”

It further states that Nitish Kumar’s leadership provides unmatched security and stability, adding that while his mission remains incomplete, Nishant Kumar could carry it forward.

Nitish Kumar, who has served as Bihar’s Chief Minister since November 2005, was elected unopposed to the Rajya Sabha on March 16.

Subsequently, he resigned from his position as a Member of the Legislative Council (MLC) on March 30.

He arrived in Delhi on Thursday and is scheduled to take oath as a Rajya Sabha MP today.

Speaking to the media upon his arrival, Nitish Kumar indicated that he may now remain based in Delhi and hinted at a leadership transition in Bihar within the next three to four days.

This development has accelerated political activity in the state.

Following his return to Patna, the process of forming a new government is expected to gather pace after the 13th of the month.

A crucial meeting of NDA constituents has already been convened.

Sources suggest that the formation of the new government will take place after the conclusion of Kharmas, an inauspicious period in the Hindu calendar.

Discussions are underway regarding the swearing-in ceremony, which is likely to be held at the historic Gandhi Maidan.

In a significant political shift, Bihar is poised to have a Chief Minister from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for the first time.

A BJP Core Committee meeting is being held in Delhi, attended by senior leaders, including both Deputy Chief Ministers of Bihar, to finalise the road map for government formation.
