Aishwarya Rai Bachchan Honors Late Father on His Eighth Death Anniversary

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan shared a heartfelt tribute to her late father, Krishnaraj Rai, on his eighth death anniversary, March 18, 2025. The actress took to Instagram to remember her father with a series of touching photos of herself and her daughter, Aaradhya, paying their respects in front of his portrait. The photographs showed Aishwarya and Aaradhya bowing down before a garlanded photo frame of Krishnaraj, capturing a tender moment of love and reverence.

 

Alongside the pictures, Aishwarya expressed her eternal affection for her father, writing, “Love you eternally dearest darling Daddy-Ajjaa. Thank you for all your loving blessings always.” Her post reflected the deep bond they shared, with Aishwarya continuing to cherish the memories of Krishnaraj, who passed away in 2017 after a prolonged illness.

 

Krishnaraj Rai, an army biologist by profession, left behind a legacy of values, wisdom, and unconditional love that continues to inspire Aishwarya. She has consistently remembered him on both his birth and death anniversaries, ensuring that his spirit remains alive in her heart and in her family’s life.

 

On the professional front, Aishwarya was last seen in Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan, where she impressed audiences with her dual roles as Mandakini Devi and Nandini. The film, set in the 10th century during the Chola dynasty, was based on Kalki Krishnamurthy's novel and received critical acclaim.
