Pooja Bhatt Calls for Increased Safety After Saif Ali Khan Injured in Attempted Burglary

Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan is currently undergoing treatment at Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai after sustaining injuries during an attempted burglary at his residence. The actor's PR team confirmed the incident, describing it as a "failed burglary attempt," and stated that Saif is currently undergoing surgery. The statement also requested that the media and fans allow the family privacy as the matter is now under police investigation.

The attack took place late Wednesday night when an intruder confronted Saif’s maid. In an effort to intervene and de-escalate the situation, the actor became involved in a scuffle with the intruder, resulting in injuries. The Mumbai Police are investigating the incident, but the identity of the intruder remains unknown.

The attack has sparked reactions from several celebrities, with actress Pooja Bhatt voicing her concerns about the safety of Mumbai's Bandra area. She took to her official X (formerly Twitter) handle, saying, "Can this lawlessness please be curbed @MumbaiPolice @CPMumbaiPolice? We need more Police presence in Bandra. The city & especially the queen of the suburbs, have never felt so unsafe before. Kind Attn @ShelarAshish @mieknathshinde @AjitPawarSpeaks @Dev_Fadnavis."

Pooja’s tweet highlights growing concerns about security in Mumbai’s high-profile neighborhoods, where residents have become increasingly wary of such incidents.

On the professional front, Saif Ali Khan remains busy with multiple projects. He was recently seen in the action-packed Devara Part 1, alongside Jr. NTR and Janhvi Kapoor. Saif is also preparing for his upcoming film Jewel Thief - The Red Sun Chapter, where he will face off against Jaideep Ahlawat in a gripping heist thriller.

As the investigation continues, fans and celebrities alike have expressed their support for Saif, hoping for a quick recovery and urging authorities to ensure the safety of all residents in the city.
