Sharing his journey of weight gain for the role and now having a hard time shedding it, Kartik Aaryan took to his social media profile and wrote, “Best Actor – Freddy, A Character that challenged me mentally and physically (Gained around 15 kgs jisko ghataane mein ab Band baj rahi hai) Acknowledgements like these validate the twisted choices I make sometimes!”

Helmed by Shahshank Ghosh, the thriller revolved around Freddy, a dentist played by Kartik, and his tryst with love and revenge. The actor played a grey role, which kills not just one but three people in the movie.
The film opened with positive reviews from critics and audience alike with praise towards the cast performances and the screenplay.
On the work front, Kartik is shooting for Kabir Khan's Chandu Champion. After completing Chandu Champion, the actor will then venture into Anurag Basu's highly anticipated Aashiqui 3. The blockbuster musical franchise is currently in the writing stage and will soon enter pre-production.
