No Green Screen, No CGI, It Is All Real Says Ali Fazal About Kandahar Action Stunts

Mumbai, 24th June 2023 (Newshelpline) - Actor Ali Fazal, who plays the role of Kahil Nasir in action thriller Kandahar says the film has no CGI, and no green screen, it is all real and live action shot at real locations.

Ali Fazal was interacting with Newshelpline at the special screening of Kandahar, also starring Hollywood icon Gerard Butler and Travis Fimmel.

Talking about the action quotient and working with Hollywood actor Gerard on the action caper, Ali said, “Wonderful experience working with Gerard Butler, we’re good friends now. There is a showdown between me and Gerard at the end of the movie, that is worth the watch, so watch the movie for it. There is a lot of action in the film, it is all real, none of it is green screen or CGI, it is all live location and action. The film is packed with a lot of stunts.”

Further adding, Ali said he performed his stunts, when allowed but body-doubles are given their full due credit.

“I did my stunts, and some were done by body-double, and we have tried to give them their rightful credit. There were some dangerous stunts, which required steep climbing and stuff, and I wasn’t allowed to do them, so body double did those ones. I even trained hard for the film, I was there 20 days prior to everyone else, and trained” added Ali.

Ali Fazal is also part of much-awaited Mirzapur 3, which has been making headlines for the longest without a release date.

When asked about the release date, Ali said, “Mirzapur 3 will release this year, not sure when, things are little uncertain, but hopefully this year itself.”

The special screening was graced by Abhimanyu Dassani, Arunoday Singh, Asha Negi, Divyendu Sharma, Elnaaz Norouzi, Geetika Vidya Ohlyan, Gurmeet Singh, Harshita Gaur, Hussain Dalal, Isha Talwar, Kriti Kharbanda, Pulkit Samrat, Richa Chadha, Satyajeet Dubey, and more.
