Richa Chadha was interacting with Newshelpline at the special screening of Kandahar, starring Gerard Butler, Travis Fimmel and Ali Fazal.
When asked if Ali Fazal is fast being a favorite choice for Hollywood filmmakers, Richa said, “It is a huge deal for people like us, for Ali is nothing. I mean, he has worked with Oscar winner Judi Dench, he has worked on Death on the Nile, he is part of the Fast and Furious franchise, so this is not a big deal for Ali, but for us, it is a huge deal. His work in the film is awesome, and I hope everyone likes it as well. It is an entertaining action film, with a message about war as well.”
The special screening was graced by Abhimanyu Dassani, Arunoday Singh, Asha Negi, Divyendu Sharma, Elnaaz Norouzi, Geetika Vidya Ohlyan, Gurmeet Singh, Harshita Gaur, Hussain Dalal, Isha Talwar, Kriti Kharbanda, Pulkit Samrat, Satyajeet Dubey, and more.
Helmed by Ric Roman Waugh and written by Mitchell LaFortune, Kandahar released in theaters with a bang and later released digitally.
Praising her husband for putting in his work for a big movie, Richa said, “I visited Ali while he was shooting in Alula, and he has done a remarkable job. He worked hard to get his Pashto accent right, he even worked hard on his bike riding skills.”
On the work front, Richa Chadha is busy with a slew of projects, such as Heeramandi, Fukrey 3 and Abhi Toh Party Shuru Hui Hai, to name a few.
