Team RRR Bids An Emotional Goodbye To Ray Stevenson

Mumbai, 23rd May 2023 (Newshelpline) - Hollywood stars Ray Stevenson, known for his role as the villainous British governor in RRR, passed away at the age of 58. He died on 21st May.

 

 

No cause of death has been revealed but he was reportedly hospitalised during filming on the Italian island Ischia, as per BBC. His death was announced four days before his 59th birthday.

 

Superstar NTR Jr took to his social media profile and penned a note, it read, “Shocked to hear about Ray Stevenson's passing. Gone too soon. It was a great experience working with him. May his soul rest in peace. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and dear ones during this difficult time” 

 

Filmmaker SS Rajamouli wrote, “Shocking... Just can't believe this news. Ray brought in so much energy and vibrancy with him to the sets. It was infectious. Working with him was pure joy. My prayers are with his family. May his soul rest in peace” 

 

Apart from RRR, actor Ray has also portrayed the role of Volstagg in the Thor films, and a main antagonist in the upcoming Star Wars series Ahsoka.
