Industry, Trade and Energy Minister Hon. Alexandre Dias Monteiro of Cape Verde To Attend Africa Oil Week 2022Africa Oil Week (https://Africa-OilWeek.com) is honoured to welcome Hon. Alexandre Dias Monteiro of Cape Verde to Africa Oil Week 2022. Hon. Alexandre Dias Monteiro is attending the leading Oil and Gas event in Cape Town, South Africa held by Hyve Group Plc. This unmissable event, home of the African Upstream, is set to bring together leaders and stakeholders of the energy sector on the 3-7 October to celebrate the theme: Sustainable Growth in a Low Carbon World

“It is an honour to welcome Hon. Alexandre Dias Monteiro of Cape Verde to Africa Oil Week 2022. As acting Industry, Trade and Energy Minister for Cape Verde, he promises to bring a wealth of knowledge on the future of energy for the continent, from fossil fuels to renewable sources,” said Paul Sinclair, VP of Energy and Director of Government Relations for Africa Oil Week.

The annual premium energy conference attracts over 2,000 C-Suite executives, over 50 ministers and government leaders, and global energy leaders to drive transactions and investment with the African oil, gas and energy sectors. As an Africa Union article recently revealed that more than 600 million people are left without access to electricity, while more than 80 per cent of the Sub-Saharan African population lack access to clean cooking technologies, it is imperative that Africa use all its resources to ensure expedited energy access on both a local and a national level.

“Africa Oil Week 2022 will continue to advocate and support the sustainable development of the continent’s hydrocarbon sector, as we foresee that hydrocarbons, as well as renewable energy solutions, will be a force multiplier for the continent,” says Sinclair.

He adds, “Hon. Alexandre Dias Monteiro of Cape Verde has spoken in parliament about the ways we can strive towards 30 per cent of energy production from renewable sources by 2025 and aiming for a 50 per cent reliance on renewables by 2030. His forward-looking insights will add tremendous value to the event and will help to address the real challenges faced by African countries and demonstrate solutions.”

This will be a valuable platform to set the agenda for future energy projects and partnerships. Register your interest now to play your role in sustainably developing our industry and Africa via the African upstream.
