Download logoThe Chairperson of the Portfolio Committee on Transport, Mr Mosebenzi Zwane, has learnt with shock the passing of the Deputy Minister of Transport Ms Sindi Chikunga’s family members, her son, her daughter-in-law and grandchildren in a car accident on Sunday.
The committee sends its deepest and heartfelt condolences to Chikunga family and friends.
“There are no words that will ever be enough to comfort the family when about six of its members die at the same time. Our minds and hearts are with the family during this time of mourning,” said Mr Zwane.
The circumstances of the accident are not yet clear but it is understood that it was a head on collision, on the N11 just outside Ladysmith.
“May their souls rest in eternal peace.”
