Himesh Reshammiya along with his wife Sonia Kapoor graced the special screening of 83 last night in Mumbai, and husband-wife duo just showered praises on the forthcoming sports drama.
Interacting with NewsHelpline about the film, Himesh said, “Superb cast, superb producers and director, fantastic composers, everything is right about the film. I am really looking forward to the film, the subject is interesting. I know the producers of the film, I have worked with them, I am sure the film will do good”
“Post pandemic, now that people are coming out and returning to cinema halls, though with precaution, but this is right movie to watch. I am so looking forward to the part where Kapil Dev played against Zimbabwe and turned it all around. Back in days, no one watched that inning, but now we will witness the history” added Himesh.
Sonia Kapoor, who is big cricket fan, also expressed her excitement, she said, “We all know, we won 1983 world cup, but we haven’t seen much of that on television, so it is going to be an experience to watch the whole journey in a movie. The film is based on India’s win, now we got to be part of that win, it is nostalgic and exciting at the same time”
Helmed by Kabir Khan, the film stars Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Pankaj Tripathi, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Jiiva, Saqib Saleem, Jatin Sarna, Chirag Patil, Dinker Sharma, Nishant Dahiya, Harrdy Sandhu, Sahil Khattar, Ammy Virk, Adinath Kothare, Dhairya Karwa and R Badree. The film is slated for 24th December 2021 release.
