83 The Film, chronicles the untold tale of Indian cricket team winning the 1983 world cup, the makers hosted a special screening late last evening in Mumbai, which was graced by entire B-town brigade.
Talking to NewsHelpline, filmmaker Kabir Khan expressed his excitement about trailer receiving amazing response. He said, “Trailer is the first communication and once you like the trailer than there is some interest, and one would like to watch the movie. Our trailer got such an amazing response, I don’t recall ever receiving such a response in my life. It means that audience has liked the idea and space of the film, and the story of the film as well, so hopefully they will cinema halls to watch it”
Talking about the film and creating such an iconic win, Kabir Khan said, “There are people who clearly remembers everything about the win, everyone remembers where he/she was on that day when Indian won the world cup. So, recreating such a recent history is challenging, and it is a huge responsibility”
“People remember everything, about the matches, players, key moments, dressing, habits, so attention to detailing was huge. Above all that there was a huge responsibility and challenge was recreate the same happiness that entire nation felt when we won” added Kabir Khan.
The film stars Ranveer Singh as Kapil Dev, along with Deepika Padukone, Pankaj Tripathi, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Jiiva, Saqib Saleem, Jatin Sarna, Chirag Patil, Dinker Sharma, Nishant Dahiya, Harrdy Sandhu, Sahil Khattar, Ammy Virk, Adinath Kothare, Dhairya Karwa and R Badree.
The film is slated for 24th December 2021 release.
