Amitabh Bachchan posted a throwback picture on his Twitter profile, featuring his wife Jaya Bachchan and son Abhishek Bachchan and quoted one his most iconic Holi song, Rang Barse.
In the monochromee image, a much younger Amitabh was seen doused in colours and smiling, as Jaya placed baby Abhishek on his shoulders. The caption read, “Rang barse bheege chunar wali rang barse”
Rang Barse was picturised on Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Rekha and Sanjeev Kumar in the 1981 movie. Even after decades, Rang Barse remains one of the favourite tracks being played during Holi in India.The track was sung by Amitabh Bachchan. His father and poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan wrote the lyrics of the song.
Meanwhile on the work front, Bachchan will appear in Chehre, Jhund, Brahmāstra, Butterfly and Mayday.
Chehre is a mystery thriller film directed by Rumi Jafry with production by Anand Pandit Motion Pictures and Saraswati Entertainment Private Limited, also starring Emraan Hashmi, Krystle D'Souza, Rhea Chakraborty, Siddhanth Kapoor, Annu Kapoor, Dhritiman Chatterjee and Raghubir Yadav in other pivotal roles sees Bachchan playing a lawyer, while Hashmi a business tycoon.
The release of the film has been preponed to 9 April 2021 from its earlier scheduled date of 30 April.
