​Shilpa Shetty Celebrates World Ozone Day

Earth without Ozone is like a house without a roof. Actor Shilpa Shetty to make people aware of it celebrated World Ozone Day. The ‘Hungama 2’ actor took to her Instagram handle and urged the people to take a pledge to plant more trees and reduce carbon footprint to protect the ozone layer. And also teach the next generation to do the same.

Shilpa on her Instagram wrote, “As we all know, the Ozone layer is a part of the Earth’s Stratosphere responsible for absorbing most of the UV rays emitted by the Sun. It is the shield protecting the Earth and the life on it. When we abuse the natural and man-made resources available to us, we end up damaging the ozone layer.

Saving our planet from the adverse effects of our own actions is our responsibility. While a part of the ozone layer has been healing because we’re all indoors, we still have a long way to go. This year, as we celebrate 35 years of the global ozone layer protection, let’s pledge to be mindful of our actions, plant more trees, reduce our carbon footprint, and teach our next generations to do the same. The onus of what we leave behind for our future generations is completely on us. Let’s work towards a better tomorrow because we all need ‘Ozone For Life’ #WorldOzoneDay2020 #OzoneForLife #environment #nature #bettertomorrow #gratitude”  

Meanwhile, on the work front, Shilpa will be seen in ’Hungama 2’.  It is a comedy film directed by Priyadarshan and jointly produced by Ratan Jain, Ganesh Jain, Chetan Jain and Armaan Ventures. A spiritual successor to the 2003 film ‘Hungama’.

The film also stars Paresh Rawal, Meezaan Jaffrey, and Pranitha Subhash. ‘Hungama 2’ marks the comeback of director Priyadarshan to Bollywood films after seven years.
