After sharing screen space in dozens of hit movies, veteran actor Rishi Kapoor and Juhi Chawla are collaborating once again for a slice of life drama movie titled Sharmaji Namkeen.
The film will mark a comeback for Rishi Kapoor after his treatment in USA. The film will be helmed by Hitesh Bhatia and bankrolled by Excel Entertainment and MacGuffin Pictures.
Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed the film on his social media profile. He shared, “IT'S OFFICIAL... #RishiKapoor returns to films with #SharmajiNamkeen... Costars #JuhiChawla... Directed by Hitesh Bhatia... Produced by Excel Entertainment [Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar] in collaboration with MacGuffin Pictures [Honey Trehan and Abhishek Chaubey]”
Producer Ritesh Sidhwani also confirmed the film. He shared, “Off screen meethe, on screen Namkeen! Let's welcome Sharmaji Namkeen in cinemas 2020!
The film will be the comeback film of Juhi Chawla, who was last seen in the Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga. The two have previously collaborated in films like Bol Radha Bol, Daraar, Eena Meena Deeka, Saajan Ka Ghar and many more.
