Beautiful and talented actress Dia Mirza says that working with Taapsee Pannu in forthcoming women centric drama Thappad has been a lot of fun and the film is complete, on the sidelines of Filmfare Awards.
Dia Mirza was interacting with media on the sidelines of star studded Filmfare Style and Glamour Award gala in Mumbai.
Talking about working with Taapsee Pannu in Thappad, actress Dia Mirza said, “Thappad is complete. It was fun shooting and working with Taapsee Pannu, in fact all the females associated with the project and Anubhav Sinha, it was fun and amazing experience working with all of them.”
Thappad is directed and produced by Anubhav Sinha under his banner Benaras Media Works. The film features Taapsee Pannu, Arjun Kapoor, Manoj Pahwa, Sharman Joshi and Pavail Gulati in the lead roles.
Dia Mirza has always been vocal about women empowerment issues and with Priyanka Reddy case, she is all in for harsh punishment.
Talking about Priyanka Reddy case, Dia said, “Every time something like this happens, I feel helpless and scared from within, and I feel pained. And I hope that justice system bring all the culprits to the book, immediately. Justice should be served to the people with whom such an incident took place.”
The film, Thappad is based on a female-oriented subject that defies narratives typecasting women. The film is scheduled for release on 6 March 2020, two days before International Women's Day.
