Mumbai, Oct 9 (SocialNews.XYZ) The second season of the much anticipated Pro Volleyball League will start on February 7, 2020. The upcoming season will be longer than season 1 and will feature a total of 22 matches with the final of the league to be played on March 1, 2020.
The league also announced that it will be expanding its footprint in season 2 with three venues as compared to two in the previous season.
Ahmedabad, Hyderabad and Kochi are the three tentative host venues shortlisted by the league.
Speaking on the occasion, S. Vasudevan, President, Volleyball Federation of India (VFI) said: "The RuPay Pro Volleyball League is turning out to be a real game changer for the sport of volleyball in the country. The league has ignited the aspirations of young volleyball players around the country and provided an opportunity for our players to rub shoulders with some of the best in the world.
"The results achieved by our U-23 men's and Sr Men's teams at the Asian level over the past year are a testament of the same. We are confident that with our players getting world class exposure through the league we will be able to take Indian Volleyball to greater heights in the coming years."
