Taj city gets light showers

Agra, Jan 23 (IANS) A day after Basant Panchmi brought cheer in bright sunshine, the weather in Agra took a sudden turn on Tuesday with chilly breeze and light showers.

The fall in temperature and humidity will help the wheat crop, said a farmer, Ram Naresh.

The minimum temperature for the past week has been hovering around 5 degrees Celsius but the rise in day temperature brought some respite from the biting cold.

Showers on Tuesday lasted a few minutes in the Taj Ganj area but the cloud cover indicates that more rains were in store.
