Delhi government floats tender for 1.5 lakh CCTVs

New Delhi, Nov 14 (IANS) The Delhi government has floated a tender for installing nearly 1.5 lakh closed-circuit TV sets across the city, Public Works Department Minister Satyendar Jain said on Tuesday.

The Minister said that Rs 200 crore was earmarked for the project in the Budget and it entails installation of 2,000 CCTVs in each of the 70 assembly constituencies in Delhi.

 

Jain said the project was expected to be completed by April 2018.

He said the tendering process will take about two months while the installation of CCTVs will take another four months.
