The University of California, Berkeley, has expressed its interest in setting up two research centres in agriculture and basic sciences. Chief secretary IYR Krishna Rao has received a letter to this effect from the university.
The University said the initiative will be an opportunity for it to share its knowledge in research and that it was ready to have further discussions with the Government of Andhra Pradesh on evolving an organisational structure and guidelines.
