Mumbai, Sep 30 (SocialNews.XYZ) Hollywood star and former wrestler Dwayne Johnson expressed grief over the death of British wrestler Benjamin Satterley, known by his WWE ring name Neville and later as PAC.
Calling the loss of the 40-year-old wrestler “heartbreaking”, Johnson said the professional wrestling community remains a “tight-knit unit” despite being a global sport.
In a video shared on social media, Johnson said: “Man, it hurts my heart to do this. I want to descend out into the universe and to the Satterley family. My love and my condolences, my support, my light, my mana, as you are enduring the loss of your loved one, Benjamin Satterley.”
He went on to talk about Satterley’s professional wrestling career, saying he had met him a few times and had shaken his hand.
“I believe he was 40, and I'm just so sorry to hear this news,” he added.
The “Moana” star said that despite the sport’s global reach, performers remain closely connected.
“As global as professional wrestling is, we're still a very tight-knit unit and a tight-knit group because we all share the same DNA, and that is our love and our passion for the squared circle and to perform for audiences around the world, and we're a little crazy, and that's okay, but when we lose one of our own, it hurts, and when they're young and so insanely talented, it really, it really hurts.”
“And especially when a life is robbed, and you don't get that opportunity to live a full life, and I've lost a lot of friends, as we'd know. So, to my friend Tony Khan, I'm so sorry for your loss.”
Addressing the Satterley family directly, Johnson encouraged them to stay strong.
Taking to the caption section: “Hurts my heart, and sending my condolences, love, light and mana to the Satterley family.”
“Despite pro wrestling being globally popular, it’s energy is still that of very unique subculture and breed of passionate performers who support each other because we all know the daily hardships and the nightly pressures of chasing squared circle dreams. Stay strong, Satterley family. And “thank you for the house”, Benjamin.”
On 27 September 2026, a passerby called 911 after finding Satterley slumped over and unresponsive in a rental car in the parking lot of a restaurant in Illinois. He was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics at the age of 40.
The following day, a spokesperson for Des Plaines confirmed that there were no signs of foul play or trauma and Satterley's death "didn't appear suspicious", with the official cause of death pending autopsy results.
