Meerut, Sep 21 (SocialNews.XYZ) BJP national president Nitin Nabin began his two-day visit to western Uttar Pradesh on Monday and paid tribute at Kargil Martyrs Memorial Park in Meerut.
In a message on X, Nabin said, “Today, during a visit to Uttar Pradesh, upon reaching the Kargil Martyrs Memorial Park in Meerut, I paid floral tributes and bowed in homage to the brave soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice for the nation's defence, and planted a tree in their memory.”
“The courage of our soldiers, their dedication to the nation, and their supreme sacrifice made while defending the country's borders will forever remain a source of inspiration for every Indian,” he said.
During Nabin’s visit to the state, the party leadership is set to focus on reviewing organisational preparedness across booths, 'Shakti Kendra' (cluster of booths), mandals, and district levels -- and engaging in direct dialogue with party workers.
Upon his arrival in Meerut on Monday, a large number of BJP workers welcomed him at the Kashi Toll Plaza. Party workers also deployed tractors and bulldozers as part of the welcome arrangements.
The reception featured enthusiastic slogan-shouting accompanied by traditional drums.
Following this, Nabin visited Subharti University, where Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and State BJP President Pankaj Chaudhary were also present.
A 'Yuva Samvad' (Youth Dialogue) was organised there to facilitate interaction with the university students. Students on campus showed strong enthusiasm for the event. Following the youth dialogue, Nabin attended a conference of Shakti Kendra convenors and Mandal presidents from western Uttar Pradesh, and the status of preparations at every level was reviewed.
During the state visit, Nabin is expected to focus on meeting former office-bearers, Members of Parliament (MPs), and Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) from Western Uttar Pradesh.
Discussions during these meetings are likely to centre on the state of organisation, preparations for the upcoming elections, and feedback received from the grassroots level.
