Ajay Devgn Celebrates 1 Year of Shaitaan Release

Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn recently took to his social media to celebrate the one-year anniversary of the release of his supernatural horror film Shaitaan. In his post, Devgn shared a video reflecting on the film's journey and impact, captioning it, “Ek saal se Shaitaan kaid hai, hai kya?” (For one year, Shaitaan has been captured, right?). He tagged his co-stars R. Madhavan, Jyothika, Janki Bodiwala, and others involved in the project, as well as the team behind the film.

 

Shaitaan was directed by Vikas Bahl and produced by Devgn Films, Jio Studios, and Panorama Studios. The film, which stars Ajay Devgn, R. Madhavan, Jyothika, Janki Bodiwala, and Anngad Raaj, tells the haunting story of a family that finds itself in a terrifying situation when their daughter falls under the influence of black magic. As they struggle to save her, they uncover sinister motives behind the stranger responsible for the curse.

 

The film, an adaptation of the 2023 Gujarati film Vash, was officially announced in May 2023, with filming completed in just three months in locations like Dehradun and London. Shaitaan also marked the Bollywood comeback of Jyothika after a long hiatus since her debut in Doli Saja Ke Rakhna (1998).

 

The film was well-received for its spine-chilling storyline, supernatural elements, and the strong performances from the ensemble cast. Fans of the genre and the actors are already looking forward to a sequel, as it is currently in the scripting stage, hinting that more dark, thrilling tales are yet to unfold.
