Aditi Pohankar on Playing Pammi in Aashram : ‘This Role Was More of a Discovery Than a Challenge'”

At the trailer launch of Ek Badnaam Aashram Season 3 Part 2 on Wednesday, Aditi Pohankar, who plays the role of Pammi, spoke emotionally about her journey portraying such a complex character. She expressed immense gratitude for the opportunity, acknowledging how the role has been a unique and life-changing experience.

 

Aditi shared, "These two Prakash Jha and Bobby Deol have given me a lifetime opportunity to portray something so unique. It’s amazing to see how Pammi has transformed from a small-town girl into who she is now. It’s always surprising to watch that journey unfold."

 

She continued, “Thank you, Prakash Sir. The Aashram cast has become a family for me. My father, who is no longer with us, was so proud of me for doing this role. After he passed, I had a family to lean on here. Every evening when we all met, talked, and bonded—those moments meant everything."

 

Talking about the challenges of playing Pammi, Aditi clarified, “I wouldn’t say it was challenging; it was more of a discovery. And that discovery was an amazing experience, all thanks to the incredible writing and direction, and the faith that Prakash Sir had in me. For a long time, I took multiple tests, and when I saw how well the role was written, I knew this was something I wanted to be a part of. Prakash Sir was on my top list of directors I wanted to work with in this lifetime."

 

She also mentioned the physical transformation involved in the role, saying, "Certain aspects of the role were challenging, like the body transformation. But the entire cast was amazing. It was such a collaborative effort—a give and take. The girls in the wrestler camp also helped me a lot. Overall, being Pammi was a discovery for me. She’s evolving and showing so many new shades. Honestly, I don’t even remember how I did it, but it was such a rewarding experience."

 

The cast of Ek Badnaam Aashram Season 3 Part 2 features Bobby Deol, Chandan Roy Sanyal, Aaditi Pohankar, Tridha Choudhury, Darshan Kumaar, Sachin Shroff, Anurita Jha, and Rajeev Siddhartha.

 

The series is directed and produced by Prakash Jha, with the script written by the PJP Team, Madhvi Bhatt, Sanjay Masoom, and Avinash Kumar. With Ek Badnaam Aashram Season 3 Part 2 set to release on February 27, 2025, audiences are eagerly awaiting its release.
