Panorama Studios Joins Hands With Ajith Vinayaka Films for Malayalam Devotional Thriller Harivarasanam

A powerful story where faith, family and unexpected truths collide is on the way to Malayalam cinema. Panorama Studios has officially announced its collaboration with Ajith Vinayaka Films for Harivarasanam, an upcoming Malayalam devotional thriller directed by Rajesh Nair and written by Ampadhy K. Led by Saiju Kurup, the film also features Yogi Babu, Sithara Vijayan and Baby Eva in important roles. With its intriguing premise and spiritual undertones, the project promises to explore the complex relationship between belief and reality.

Announcing the project on social media, Panorama Studios shared an intriguing message that immediately set the tone for the film. “When belief runs deep, the truth can take unexpected turns,” the production house tweeted, revealing the collaboration and introducing the principal cast and crew. The announcement also confirmed that the film would be produced by Ajith Vinayaka, Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak. While the makers have kept several details under wraps, the tagline hints at a narrative in which deeply held beliefs may be challenged by revelations that change the course of events.

Harivarasanam centres on a father's emotional journey to rebuild trust with his child, with tensions between faith and confronting uncomfortable truths forming a key part of the story. The combination of devotional elements and thriller storytelling could give the film an interesting emotional dimension, moving beyond a conventional spiritual narrative. Saiju Kurup takes the lead, while Yogi Babu, Sithara Vijayan and Baby Eva add to the ensemble. Their characters and the precise nature of their roles have not yet been fully revealed, leaving audiences curious about how the story will unfold.

Director Rajesh Nair, known for working across Malayalam cinema, leads the project, with Ampadhy K handling the writing. The film's devotional setting and suspense-driven premise suggest an attempt to bring together spirituality, family relationships and mystery. Its title also evokes the familiar devotional association of Harivarasanam, a prayer closely connected with Lord Ayyappa and Sabarimala. However, the makers' description of the project as a devotional thriller indicates that the film will explore its own dramatic narrative rather than simply present a traditional devotional story.

Production reportedly moved forward with principal photography beginning in July 2026 at a recreated Sabarimala set, while dubbing has recently been completed. Promotional posters have added to the intrigue, featuring stone temple textures, tiger-paw symbolism and the film's title in golden Malayalam lettering. These visual elements build an atmosphere of mystery and spiritual significance, offering an early glimpse of the world the filmmakers are creating. The makers have yet to disclose further plot details or announce the film's theatrical release date.

With Panorama Studios and Ajith Vinayaka Films coming together, Harivarasanam is shaping up as an intriguing addition to Malayalam cinema's growing mix of genre-driven storytelling. The partnership brings together an experienced production team and a cast led by Saiju Kurup, while the film's central conflict promises to examine what happens when faith and truth pull people in different directions. As Panorama Studios has teased, more details are on the way, and audiences will be watching for the next announcement about this devotional thriller.
