Mythri Movie Makers And Lokesh Kanagarajs G Squad Join Hands For New Film

Mythri Movie Makers has announced an exciting collaboration with Lokesh Kanagaraj's G Squad for an upcoming Tamil film, and the project has already reached the final leg of its shoot. The production house shared a video offering a glimpse into the journey so far, beginning with the film's pooja ceremony and moving through behind the scenes moments from the sets. While the makers have kept the title under wraps for now, they have confirmed that an official title announcement is coming soon, adding another layer of curiosity around the project.

Sharing the update on social media, Mythri Movie Makers wrote, "The beginning of a massive collaboration. @MythriOfficial X @GSquadOffl, It began with a pooja ceremony and the shoot is in its final leg. The film began with a traditional pooja ceremony in June 2026 and has since progressed steadily towards completion. Vishal Venkat is directing the project, with Hariharan Raju credited with the story and Ashameera Aiyappan handling the dialogues. The cast features Regina Cassandra, Nasser and Ramesh Thilak, with Sreeja Ravi also associated with the project. The combination of experienced performers and a relatively fresh creative team gives the film an interesting ensemble, while the involvement of G Squad adds further attention to the production.

The video shared by Mythri Movie Makers offers glimpses of the people and moments behind the project. It includes photographs from the pooja ceremony, interactions between the cast and crew, Nasser's moments on set, Regina Cassandra during production and several crew huddles. There are also glimpses of the filming process, giving audiences a small taste of the atmosphere surrounding the project without revealing major details about the story. With the makers choosing to keep the title and other key details under wraps, the video works more as a behind the scenes introduction than a conventional first look.

The collaboration also brings together two production forces with significant ambitions in South Indian cinema. Mythri Movie Makers is backing the project with Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar, while Lokesh Kanagaraj's G Squad is associated with the production. The technical team includes Hesham Abdul Wahab for music, Selvakumar SK for cinematography and Prasanna handling editing. Manoj Kenny, Pradeep Boopathy, Jai Sampath and Viyaki S are also part of the wider creative and production team, making the project a sizeable collaboration across different areas of filmmaking.

With the shoot now in its final leg, attention is firmly on the upcoming title announcement. The makers have deliberately revealed the collaboration before unveiling the film's name, giving fans a chance to speculate about what this combination of talent could bring to the screen. Regina Cassandra, Nasser and Ramesh Thilak headline a project directed by Vishal Venkat, while the association with G Squad and Mythri Movie Makers adds to the anticipation. For now, the title remains a mystery, but with filming nearing completion, audiences may not have to wait much longer to discover what this new collaboration has in store.
