Yami Gautam Turns Bhabhi Tabaahi in Nayyi Navelli’s First Song, Brings Wedding Madness to the Dance Floor

Yami Gautam Dhar is all set to add a colourful dose of wedding madness to the big screen with “Bhabhi Tabaahi,” the first song from her upcoming fantasy horror-comedy Nayyi Navelli. The actress announced the song’s release with a playful twist on the traditional muh dikhayi ceremony, writing, “Muh Dikhayi ke liye sab aa gaye na, koi reh toh nahi gaya #BhabhiTabaahi Song Out Now.” With the film arriving in cinemas on October 16, the song introduces audiences to the fun, vibrant world surrounding Yami’s character Mohini.

The music video sees Yami embracing the role of the ultimate new bhabhi as she dances through a lively, beautifully decorated courtyard packed with wedding celebrations. Dressed in a striking yellow lehenga, the actress brings plenty of energy to the song, which blends bhangra, rap, classical movements and hip-hop choreography. The celebrations also feature playful devar-bhabhi moments, giving “Bhabhi Tabaahi” the kind of infectious wedding atmosphere that instantly feels tailor-made for festive season playlists.

But there is more to Mohini than her picture-perfect bridal appearance. Nayyi Navelli follows a seemingly ideal new bride who enters a chaotic family in Meerut and quickly becomes the source of happiness and harmony in the household. Everyone appears to adore her, but things take a mysterious turn when her suspicious brother-in-law begins noticing strange occurrences around her. The question soon becomes whether this perfect new bhabhi is really a blessing for the family — or something much more supernatural.

The film’s unusual mix of family comedy, romance, fantasy and horror gives Yami a distinctly different world to explore. Mohini is introduced as the kind of daughter-in-law every family could dream of, but the suspicion that she could actually be a daayan adds an intriguing supernatural layer to the story. Directed by Balaji Mohan, Nayyi Navelli marks his Bollywood directorial debut. The film is written by Himanshu Sharma and Divy Nidhi Sharma, with Aanand L. Rai and Himanshu Sharma backing the project. The music is composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar, while the cast also features Addinath Kothare. With the first song leaning heavily into dance, colour and family chemistry, “Bhabhi Tabaahi” offers the first major glimpse of the film’s lively tone.

As Yami herself jokingly asked whether everyone had arrived for the muh dikhayi, the answer from Bollywood’s festive calendar is seemingly yes. “Bhabhi Tabaahi” brings together wedding celebrations, energetic choreography and a playful new avatar of Yami, while Nayyi Navelli promises to take that family chaos into supernatural territory.
